About Puneet Freibott, DNP, RN, FACHE

Puneet Freibott, DNP, RN, FACHE, is the Chief Nursing Officer for Beth Israel Lahey Health. In this role, Puneet partners with the nursing and clinical teams across BILH to advance the system’s patient-focused culture.

Before joining BILH, Puneet served as Chief Operating Officer of University Medical Center New Orleans, where she helped strengthen clinical operations while supporting the standard of patient care delivery and fostering an empowered and engaged nursing staff. Puneet has served in executive leadership positions in Magnet-designated health care organizations for the last 27 years, including serving as CNO at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center & Specialty Hospitals and Tenet Park Plaza & Plaza Specialty Hospitals, both in Texas.

Puneet earned both her bachelor of science in nursing and master’s degree in nursing leadership from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She received her doctorate in executive nursing leadership from the University of Texas Health and Science Center. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), holds Nurse Executive Advanced Board Certification (NEA-BC) from the American Nurses Association, and contributes to the body of knowledge in adult critical care nursing as a Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN-K) through the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
