Commitment to Your Community

Healthy people, healthy communities

Meeting Community Needs, Improving Lives

At Beth Israel Lahey Health, we believe that when a community gets healthier, people do too. By working collaboratively to address top health concerns, we create a healthy future for everyone in the communities we serve.

Our hospitals have a longstanding commitment to supporting community programs that serve those who face barriers to getting and staying healthy. This includes addressing issues such as access to care, chronic disease management, health disparities and social determinants of health such as food and housing insecurity and more.

Community Heath Needs Assessment and Implementation Strategy

The 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and the Community Health Implementation Strategy were the culmination of nearly a year of work, involving thousands of community residents, service providers, community advocates, Commonwealth and local public officials, and staff throughout our member hospitals.

The CHNA and implementation strategy represent our commitment to better understand and address the health-related needs of those living in our communities.
