About David Passafaro

As President of New England Baptist Hospital, David Passafaro leads the premier regional provider for orthopedic surgery and the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases and disorders, which includes 118 beds and has teaching relationships with multiple medical schools, including the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Tufts University School of Medicine and Harvard School of Medicine.

David became President of New England Baptist Hospital in 2018 after serving as Senior Vice President of External Affairs, overseeing community and government relations, philanthropy, real estate and construction. Previously he was Vice President for Business Development at Suffolk Construction Company and Managing Director for Real Estate at Cambridge Associates Holdings Company. David also served as Chief of Staff for the Office of Mayor Thomas M. Menino and as President of Boston 2004, Inc., responsible for the 2004 Democratic National Convention. He was Chair of the Boston Medical Center Board of Trustees Finance Committee for 16 years and Vice Chair of the board for four years.

David earned an undergraduate degree from Marquette University and a master's degree in international affairs and foreign policy from Georgetown University.
