As General Counsel of Beth Israel Lahey Health, Jamie Katz leads the formation of the system’s integrated legal team, encompassing functional areas such as compliance, employment law and governance. In partnership with leaders from across the system, he established a broad network of legal expertise that can be deployed across Beth Israel Lahey Health.
Jamie was Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he had provided legal advice to the organization’s Board of Directors and management team since 2012. He has also served as Interim Chief Compliance Officer at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, General Counsel of Massachusetts Health Insurance Connector Authority, and Chief of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Public Charities Division.
Jamie received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia Law School. He was named a “Leader in the Law” by the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly in 2014. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Health Law Association and the Boston Bar Association.
Jamie resides with his family in Lexington.
