As Interim Chief Communications and Marketing Officer for Beth Israel Lahey Health, Marian Dezelan oversees brand development and implementation, external and internal communications, and the design and execution of strategies to engage with patients across eastern Massachusetts.
Marian brings deep expertise in the health care industry, having served in a number of senior leadership roles in the payer and provider environments. Most recently, she was Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Communications for Gateway Health in Pennsylvania, where she collaborated with leaders across the organization to develop growth and retention strategies and advance the company's mission to improve the lives of Medicare and Medicaid members.
Prior to joining Gateway Health, Marian served as Chief Marketing Executive for the Texas region of Tenet Healthcare and was responsible for consumer engagement strategy and marketing plan development for 21 hospitals across six metro areas. She has also served as Chief Marketing Officer at North Shore-LIJ Health System (now Northwell Health) in New York, and as Vice President of Marketing Communications at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Marian has also held marketing roles with FedEx and a start-up steel distribution company, and worked for a number of years in the financial services industry.
Marian earned her undergraduate degree and her master of business administration from Duquesne University.
She resides with her family in the Pittsburgh area.
