Mark Goldstein

President, Anna Jaques Hospital

As President of Anna Jaques Hospital, Mark Goldstein leads the nonprofit community hospital, which has 123 beds and more than 200 physicians and 1,200 employees on staff. He reports to Richard Nesto, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Beth Israel Lahey Health, until an Executive Vice President of Hospital and Ambulatory Services is hired.

Under Mark’s leadership, Anna Jaques Hospital has consistently expanded services and modernized facilities to better serve its community, including the opening of medical offices in Haverhill and Newburyport, as well as the Gerrish Breast Care Center and Anna Jaques Cancer Center (in partnership with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center). Prior to assuming the role of President in 2015, Mark served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Anna Jaques Hospital for nine years. He also held senior financial positions at Boston Medical Center, Winchester Hospital and Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He is a member of the Massachusetts Healthcare Financial Management Association, and was appointed by Governor Charlie Baker to the Special Commission to Review Variation in Prices among Providers in 2016.

Mark earned an undergraduate degree in health administration from Worcester State College and a Master of Business Administration from Boston University School of Management.

He resides with his family in Newburyport.
