Interim Chief Human Resources Officer

As Interim Chief Human Resources Officer for Beth Israel Lahey Health, Sherrie String leads system-wide human resource strategy, operations and integration.

Sherrie is a result-oriented executive who has driven business and financial success across multiple industries, from health care to consumer products, by aligning business strategy with culture and human capital strategies. She has extensive experience in cultural and organizational transformation/change leadership, human resources, diversity and inclusion, and mergers and acquisitions.

She previously served as the Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resource Officer at Hackensack Meridian Health, a $5 billion nonprofit integrated health care network in New Jersey, and Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development at Via Christi Health, the largest provider of faith-based, nonprofit health care in Kansas. She currently serves as the Founder and CEO of String Connections, a human capital consulting firm assisting organizations in connecting people and culture strategies with business strategies to build highly engaged, outcome-driven workforces.

Sherrie received her undergraduate degree and her Master of Business Administration from Rutgers University.

Sherrie resides with her family in Millstone Township, New Jersey.
