As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Beth Israel Lahey Health, Steve Fischer leads finance operations for the system and the formation of a best-in-class team that provides extraordinary service across the system. Steve has oversight of all financial functions, including critical services such as supply chain, revenue cycle, and treasury.
Previously, as Chief Financial Officer of the Beth Israel Deaconess system, Steve was responsible for the financial operation of the system’s medical center, its affiliated hospitals, and its employed physician network. Prior to that, he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of BIDMC. He had held the same position at Caritas Christi, Holy Family Hospital and Milton Hospital, in addition to financial roles at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
Steve received his undergraduate degree from Boston College and his Masters of Accounting from Bentley College.
Steve resides with his family in Wellesley.
